Tuition and Fees
Bright Star operates year round, closing three weeks per year (one week during the Christmas holidays and two weeks in late summer, just before the start of the new school term). The regular school term runs from early September to mid-June, and is 180 days long. Play days are available when class is not in session.
Summer sessions are available for part or all of the summer vacation, from mid-June to end-August.
We pride ourselves in diversity. We serve families from a wide variety of ethnic and social backgrounds. Parents are invited to tour the school by appointment.
Class hours: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm for morning sessions
9:00 am - 3:00 pm M-Th, 9:00 - 12:00 F, for full day schedule
Childcare is available from 8:00 am - 9:00 am and 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Tuition:
Tuition is based on an academic school year starting September 5th 2012 and ending June 12th 2013. For the ten month school year tuition can be paid annually by July 1st or monthly with a 10 month payment plan. There is a 5% discount for Annual Payments paid by July 1st. Each monthly payment is due on the first day of each month and is calculated at one tenth of the value of the annual contract regardless of the number of days in the month. The non-refundable one month tuition deposit will be credited to your account in June 2013.
Tuition for the 2012/2013 preschool program (2 1/2 - 5 years old):
Five (5) full time days (9:00 am - 3:00 pm, M-Th, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, F): $11,750.00
Five (5) part time days (9:00 am - 12:30 pm, M-F): $10,000.00
Five (5) full time days w/ full time childcare (8:00 am - 6:00 pm, M-F): $14,750.00
Four (4) full time days* (9:00 am - 3:00 pm, M-Th): $10,700.00
Four (4) part time days (9:00 am - 12:30 pm, M-Th): $9,000.00
Four (4) full time days w/ full time childcare (8:00 am - 6:00 pm, M-Th): $12,750.00
*Four day program spaces are limited.
Summer school is available by the month or week and is contracted separately.
Fees:
Application Fee (new students only): $50.00
Building, grounds, safety and materials fee: $550.00
Childcare Fees:
1 extra hour per day/month: $100.00
2 extra hour per day/month: $200.00
Or as-needed basis with reservation $10.00 per our with $100 voucher or $12 per hour w/o voucher.
Admission Requirements:
Attend an open house or make an appointment to observe the program without your child.
Return the application form with the application fee.
Arrange a visit with your child to meet the teacher.

Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, with current families receiving priority status. Applicants are accepted throughout the year as space is available. All paper work and fees are due prior to your child starting the program. New students are welcome to start work one day after all fees and forms required by the State of California are received in our office. Please ask in the office for these forms.
