Tuition & Financial Aid
After a student is admitted, final tuition is determined by placement within available tiers on the sliding scale and then applying any adjustments or additional financial aid if applicable.

Sliding Scale Tuition
Friends' School offers a sliding scale for tuition in an effort to promote economic diversity within the school population. Both the preschool and elementary school offer scaled tuition based on adjusted gross income per family, with limits on the number of families permitted in each tier. Three tuition payment plans are available: annual, semi-annual, or monthly. All tuition payments are made to Friends' School through Tuition Management Systems (TMS).

Current re-enrolling families who feel they qualify for a tuition tier, should submit a Tuition Tier Request Form along with their 2011 IRS 1040 tax return to the Business Office. The Tuition Tier Request takes place during December each year, and Enrollment Contracts are mailed in January. Applicant families will need to submit the Tuition Tier Request Form and tax return once the student has been officially accepted for enrollment prior to the enrollment contract being issued. Financial Aid
Supplemental financial aid assistance is also available on a limited basis for families with demonstrated financial need. Approximately one third of Friends\' students receive supplemental financial assistance each year. Current re-enrolling families seeking additional financial aid must apply online with FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) during the re-enrollment period. Applicant families who wish to apply for additional Financial Aid will need to do so once the student has been officially accepted for enrollment prior to the enrollment contract being issued. Families must apply for Financial Aid no later than the due date on their contract.

Other Fees
Friends' School charges a required activity fee for grades 3 through 5. This fee is included in the tuition payment plan. Friends\' School also charges a nonrefundable application fee of $50.00 paid at the time a student first applies for admission. A nonrefundable deposit equal to 10% of the final tuition is paid at the time an enrollment contract is signed.
