ENTRANCE EVALUATION
Upon acceptance into our program, each student has a comprehensive evaluation of
their current level of functioning. This evaluation covers core academic areas such as
mathematics and reading, as well as, the underlying areas of functioning that greatly
impact a student's ability to perform academically and function socially. Important areas that are often overlooked in educational programs, such as: individual cognitive and auditory processing skills, perceptual motor functioning, fine and gross motor skills, communication (written and oral), social skills, and level of independent functioning are all components of our evaluation.

INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRAM
A truly individualized program is designed to address the needs of each student. Students spend a significant amount of time working 1 on 1 with instructors in the areas of cognitive, auditory, and perceptual motor training. Gains in these areas are dramatically increased when instruction is 1 on 1 and program development is individualized.

SMALL CLASS SIZE
Students are instructed in small groups of 4 or less. We provide extensive demonstration and modify instruction as necessary until skill mastery is achieved.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
True learning requires personal interaction with the material being taught. We use a
constructivist approach to learning within the classroom, and spend a significant amount of time learning outside of the classroom through weekly field trips.
