Outstanding Academic Education
St. Michael was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education. St. Michael is the only Acadia Parish elementary school that is accredited by AdvancED through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) since 2006. St. Michael was commended for its outstanding Catholic identity, academic, curriculum, and parent, alumni and community participation. In October of 2011, the school was evaluated by a SACS team and received a ranking of highly functional in all areas.
Students Excel in Faith Related Services and Academics
Students achieve recognition by the Duke University Academic Talent Search yearly. Each year, students place at parish and regional Science and Social Studies fairs that qualify them for state competition.
Extracurricular Clubs and Classes
Students have the opportunity to be leaders in Jr. Quiz Bowl, Beta Club, Student Council, Saints Choir and 4-H. Students enjoy classes in art, drama, music and technology. The extracurricular clubs and classes are showcased throughout the year with a variety of events.
Outstanding Saints Athletic Programs
St. Michael Saints athletics include football, volleyball, basketball, track, golf, baseball/softball and cheerleading.
Spacious Pre-K to 8th Grade Campus
St. Michael has an outstanding campus that continues to grow. The campus includes a Pre-K to 4th grade building, 5th to 8th grade building, over 24 classrooms, state-of-the-art science and computer labs, music and art studios, library, gym with basketball/volleyball court and stage, chapel, outdoor football field, cafeteria, and large play areas.
