Admission
In order to implement Diocesan Policy (2.01,01) NLR Catholic Academy will follow the order of admission listed below:
Sibling of current NLR Catholic Academy students
Participating Catholic St. Mary\'s and St. Patrick\'s Parishes
Participating Catholics of other parishes
Non-participating Catholics and non-Catholics
If more students apply for a particular grade than seats available, students will be placed on a waiting list for that grade level. Students will be assigned based on the criteria stated above when a seat becomes available.
NLR Catholic does not accept students with learning disabilities whose needs it cannot meet. NLR Catholic does not accept students, Catholic or non-Catholic, who have been expelled from another school.
Entrance Age (As of July 31, 2004)
According to Diocesan regulations and Arkansas State Law, no child shall be admitted to the Pre-Kindergarten program for the current year, unless he/she has attained the age of 4 by October 1st. Kindergarten, he/she must be 5 years old on or before September 1st of the current school year.
Documentation
State required immunizations plus a birth certificate, baptismal certificate (original with raised seal must be seen by school official), and a social security number are to be presented at the time of registration of all beginning students and transfer students. Students entering grades 1-8 should submit a copy of their latest report card.
Catholic Students
In all cases involving Catholic students, their pastor must certify (with is signature on the Parish Participation Voucher available in the enrollment packet) that they are participating Catholics in order to have priority placement and be eligible for the Catholic tuition rate. Catholic families transferring into Central Arkansas may provide a letter from the pastor of their current parish stating that they have been participating parishioners.
Non-discriminatory Practices
NLR Catholic Academy will admit students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded to its students.
Tuition
Tuition must be paid annually, semiannually or 10 monthly payments July-April. Payment other than annually must be paid through automatic bank draft.

Tuition Non-Catholic: $2,950.00, Additional Child $1850.00 (Per Year or $175.00 month)

Student handbook
NLRCA Handbook Policy Change
Students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade breaking the rules below will be given an in house suspension for three days that will extend until 6:00 p.m. Students in the 4th and 5th grades will be given in house suspension until regular dismissal time. An in house suspension consists of receiving all school work and receiving instructions/grades for work. The student is sent to another classroom for their academics for the three days.
Students not completing class work/ homework on time-when school begins.
Students not following the uniform codes.
Students being disrespectful to teachers, aides, or after school personnel.
For the protection of the children of NLRCA west campus, the administration has determined that the walk in gates are to be locked anytime children are on the playground during the school day. The teacher(s) that are present with the children will unlock the gates for adult entry when needed. The gates will be locked during the following times: 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and after school 3:30-6:00, if children are present.
