Three (3) Months through Sixth (6th) Grade
The Montessori Preparatory of Ocala was established in 1996 and serves the Marion County community with classrooms for children ages 3 months through the 6th Grade. The curriculum includes exercises and materials in Mathematics, Language, Practical Life, Sensorial, Science, Spanish, Geography, History, Social Studies, and more. Advanced Elementary materials include subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Biology, Creative Writing, Botany, Time Lines and Eras and more. Drama, Music, Art, and Poetry are also featured and are included in annual programs. All classrooms contain beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of learning equipment and exercises so that each child is continually challenged to produce his/her best work on a daily basis. Our Elementary curriculum is a blend of Montessori and traditional so that students who graduated and enter middle school are set up for immediate success. Annual Standardized Testing for Kindergarten and Elementary students have shown that many of our students rank in the top ten percent nationally. Parent involvement and community service is an integral part of the school community. Parent workshops are offered each month to help with successful parenting issues and Montessori curriculum.
