Their definition of an active and practicing Catholic is determined by regular
attendance at Mass and the use of the church envelope. Church law requires
attendance at Mass on all Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation (Cannon
1247 & 1248). Also, the Catechism of the Catholic Church #2043 and
Cannon 222: œThe faithful also have the duty of providing for the material needs
of the Church, each according to his abilities.  Parents understand that active
participation will be determined by use of the church envelope and church
attendance.
