About Rosemary School
Rosemary operates a non-public school, certified by the California Department of Education-Non-Public Schools Unit. The Rosemary School provides regular and special education services to the residents of Rosemary and teenage girls, grades 7-12, referred from the community by local educational agencies. Coursework offered includes core academic subjects, pre-vocational and vocational education training, work experience, and independent living skills.
The coursework offered is based upon state and local district standards and is individualized to meet the various academic needs and abilities of each student.
Modifications and accommodations to the program, curriculum, and instructional delivery are implemented according to the needs documented on an Individual Education Plan.
The vocational program offers courses in independent living skills. Some of the subjects covered are driver's education, resume development, interviewing skills, banking, budgeting and cooking.
The California State Department of Education - WorkAbility I Program awarded us a grant that provides students paid work experience and job skills training to enhance their employability.
In our computer lab we offer a course in œbasic computer skills . The lab is also available for academic and job research.
