About Westminster Catawba Christian School
Tuition and fees cover day to day operating expenses and costs normally associated with the educational process including most books and instructional materials. Families can pay tuition in full, by cash or check, to WCCS by June 15; by two semester payments, one in June and one in January; or by 12 monthly payments beginning in June. Both the two semester payment schedule and the 12 monthly payments schedule are made through automatic bank drafts with FACTS Tuition Management. Families with more than two children enrolled are eligible for a multi-child discount.

Financial Assistance
Westminster Catawba Christian School (WCCS) believes that Christian education should be available to all families regardless of social or economic status. Financial assistance is available for families who want to provide Christian education for their children but are unable to meet their tuition expense. In order for us to allocate our resources wisely and fairly, we have enlisted the help of Independent School Management's FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) program. ISM's FAST does not decide whether financial assistance will be given or how much to give; rather FAST provides a need-based financial aid analysis service. FAST provides the school with a report, which includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition. All information from FAST is kept confidential. Applications are reviewed by a confidential Financial Aid Committee and the committee determines the allocation of financial aid resources for the next year. While no financial aid procedure can be entirely equitable " there are simply too many individual factors and extenuating circumstances " the process that has been established has served WCCS well. Families may apply for needs-based tuition assistance based on their regular and STAR program tuition obligations.
To qualify for tuition assistance, families must file an online needs assessment application with FAST. To submit an online financial assistance application, visit the school's website, www.wccs.org, Admissions, Financial Assistance and click on the FAST logo. The cost to submit an online application is $36 and is due at the time of
submission. Please note that FAST does not make the final decision concerning tuition assistance awards. FAST makes recommendations to WCCS. WCCS must take into account the amount of money available for distribution as well as the number of families that apply for aid before a final decision can be made. All final decisions are made by WCCS.
The WCCS financial assistance committee meets in March of each year to review assessment recommendations and make initial assistance awards for the following school year. Based on historical amounts available for distribution, the general rule of thumb is that tuition assistance awards range between 5% and 30% of the total tuition obligation. Please complete application online by March 2, 2012 in order to meet the deadline for tuition assistance awards needs assessment.
