Fees
Once accepted into St Hyacinth Academy, the following fees apply.
$65.00 registration fee (non-refundable), due at time of registration
$250 book/supply fee (non-refundable aft first day of classes)
$300 fund raiser due at time of registration or can be added to tuition payments

Tuition Assistance Plan
Tuition Assistance is reserved for those families who demonstrate a clear need for assistance. Applicants must be registered and active in their Catholic parish. Tuition Assistance may be provided from one or more of the following areas: Diocesan Scholarship Fund, Parish Support, and/or the St. Hyacinth Academy Scholarship Fund. Applicants who have been approved for Tuition Assistance must meet the following obligations.

Scrip Purchase Obligation
1 child: purchase $4000 of SCRIP or pay $200
2 children: purchase $5000 of SCRIP or pay $250
3 children or more: purchase $6000 of SCRIP or pay $300

*1/2 of Scrip obligation must be satisfied by December 31 or pay 5% of the difference
**Scrip with less than 4% rebate will receive 1/2 credit toward your commitment. All SCRIP requirements must be satisfied by May 31, 2013.

Fund Raising Obligation
Raise $300 for 1 child, $500 for 2 children, or $700 for 3 or more children in the family.

Service Hour Obligation
Serve 80 hours on approved school projects. Service hours may also be earned by attending specified parent meetings and functions. Unfulfilled service hours will be billed at $10/hour. You may clear 1 service hour credit for each $200 of SCRIP purchased over minimum requirement, or for each $20 of fundraising income earned over minimum requirement. SCRIP with less than 4% rebate will earn 1/2 credit toward your obligation.

Tuition Assistance Application Procedure and Deadlines
Request an application from the school office. Return completed applications to the school office no later than April 16, 2012. A copy of an IRS 1040 form for the most current year must accompany the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Monthly tuition plans are handled by F.A.C.T.S. Management Co. There is an annual (non-refundable) fee of $43 to F.A.C.T.S. , payable at the time the account is set up. Payments will be withdrawn on the 5th or 20th of each month according to agreement form. $25 will be charged by F.A.C.T.S. for each NSF or late payment.

Annual or Semi-Annual Payments
Payments are to be paid directly to Saint Hyacinth Academy.

Withdrawals
Families who withdraw for any reason are responsible for their tuition obligation up to the end of the month they withdraw. Tuition, fundraising, Scrip, and service hour obligations for families who withdraw will be prorated based on the contracted plan. Registration and book fees are non-refundable (See Fee Schedule for other fees that may apply).
